Rugby Union Boxing Day Traditional Christmas Clash Match Friendly Lankelly Fowey St Austell Sport | Cornwall Outdoors Things To Do Festive Season Sporting | Cormorant Hotel & Restaurant GolantRugby lovers in Fowey and the surrounding towns are in for a treat tomorrow when Lankelly-Fowey take on a St Austell XV at Lankelly Farm.

The town's rugby club, which takes pride in being "Cornwall's biggest, smallest rugby club" will host the St Austell XV tomorrow, in the traditional post-Christmas fixture.

Traditionally played on Boxing Day the game has been moved to Saturday, December 27th to fit in with either team's league schedule, which will see them play on the Saturday's preceding and following the 27th.

Lankelly-Fowey will be underdogs for the fixture, as they are the lower league side.

They play in Tribute Cornwall two, and have been struggling this season, with just one win from six league games.

St Austell, however, play several rungs higher up the league ladder in Tribute South West One. But with plenty of mince pies likely to have been put away in the days leading up to the game the pace is likely to be slower, plus the fixture is traditionally a lightly played one, with the emphasis on fun and entertainment rather than full on combat for bragging rights.

If you're staying in boutique hotels Fowey over Christmas why not head along?
