visit The Royal Cornwall Show when staying at our hotel in Fowey

The Royal Cornwall Show opens for business in Wadebridge, north of our hotel in Fowey, tomorrow Thursday 9th June. Excitement is building and organisers are hoping for another busy year for the biggest show in Cornwall.

With the forecast looking sunny, dry and warm on Thursday and Saturday, with a possibility of rain on Friday, the weather for the show is surely going to be better than previous years when tents were blown away and cars stuck in the mud.

Open to the public from 8.30 am, there is a lot to see over the three days with each day being more packed than the last. Tickets cost £18.50 for adults, and you will definitely get your money's worth.

This is the 223rd year of The Royal Cornwall Show, with over 1,000 trade stands, family entertainment and livestock shows. You can sample some local food, buy a t-shirt, enjoy music and dancing, a Victorian fairground, show jumping and an exhibition of stunt riders featuring horses from BBC's Poldark.

Last year, the show saw 126,000 people visit over the three days and organisers hope a similar number will be making their way to Wadebridge.

Just a 41-minute drive from our hotel in Fowey, you can enjoy a stunning drive through Bodmin Moor and see the beautiful scenery of Cornwall.
