For those of you who were dreaming of a white Christmas, we have some bad news... It seems as if it will just be a dream this year, according to forecasters at the Met Office.
In fact, it is said to be one of the warmest Decembers in nearly 70 years! Temperatures will be around seven degrees higher than expected for this time of the year.
A lot of warm air is being pumped across the Atlantic Ocean towards the UK from as far south as the Morocco and the Canary Islands.
Mark Wilson is a forecaster from the Met office, and has said "It is really about where our air is coming from and that is due to the jet stream... Unfortunately, it is looking exceptionally unlikely for a white Christmas".
In fact, wind and rain is forecast for Christmas Day itself, so anyone who is out and about travelling, make sure you take extra precautions!
Why not take the opportunity whilst sheltering from the weather to book yourself a table at one of the few Fowey restaurants overlooking the river Fowey for the New Year? Our award winning restaurant uses the finest, fresh Cornish produce and will be the perfect way to start 2016!
