Lionel Richie performed at the Eden Sessions, near our hotel in GolantThe singer performed at the Eden Project earlier this week, wowing thousands of people with his hit songs, as part of the ongoing Eden Sessions this summer.

The Eden Project, not far from our hotel in Golant, has become the place for music superstars, not just the exotic plants, as Richie, and later this year, Sir Tom Jones are performing as part of the Eden Sessions, attracting thousands to the biomes.

The singer performed hits like Hello and Dancing on the Ceiling, appearing for the first time in the South West. He has previously performed at Glastonbury, but has said he is keen to do more new things in the UK.

Lionel Richie told fans who gathered to see him: "This is probably God's house right here!"

Even with the rain pouring down everyone in attendance was having a great time, with Richie putting on a great show and dazzling the crowd with his commitment and showmanship.

Through the 90 minute set he continued to stun the audience with his dancing, singing and overall charisma, proving musicians like him come along once in a lifetime. He promised the audience they would hear all the hits when he came on stage.

At 66 years of age he showed the thousands that he clearly loves performing for his fans, giving the impression he still adores his songs and music too.
