Members of the public were polled in an attempt to discover the most beautiful beaches in Wales, Scotland and England, with the results of these three separate polls being combined to create an overall winner.
Cornwall topped the list, claiming a massive 28 per cent of the England vote, and were followed by Pembrokeshire, who took 21 per cent of the Welsh vote.
Neighbouring Devon finished in fourth place overall, receiving 13 per cent of the votes. This took the overall Westcountry votes to a combined 41 per cent of all of the votes, meaning a South West beach is truly the place to be!

The country's beaches are certainly still at the forefront of people's thoughts, with 92 per cent of people responding to the poll stating that they are planning to take a trip to the beach this summer, and 345 per cent of respondents stating that they were looking to take an extended break within the UK.
