Fowey has been named as one of the best places to live in the South WestA recent guide in The Sunday Times about the best places to live in the different regions of the UK named Fowey as one of the best places to live in Cornwall.

The guide identifies 15 of the most desirable locations to live in across Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and Gloucestershire. The other place in Cornwall named as one of the best was Falmouth.

The authors of the guide said locations were selected for offering the best quality of life to the widest number of people, and combining desirable features such as a positive community spirit, good local shops and services and attractive outdoor spaces.

Other statistics such as crime rates and house prices were also taken into consideration.

With our Cornish luxury hotel being just down the river from Fowey we completely agree that it is one of the best places to live, and just as good to visit when staying at our hotel.

The historic town has much to offer, in ways of eating out, things to do and the events that are held throughout the year. Fowey is perfect for a holiday or short break at any time of year.
