Fowey Festival of Words and Music announces 2015 programme

The festival will run for a week, from the 9th until the 16th May will kick off with the du Maurier Lecture and Luncheon, which is being hosted this year by Andrew Graham, who is the son of novelist Winston Graham; most famously known for his Poldark works.
This will then be followed by a panel discussion with the Poldark TV show's scriptwriter Debbie Horsfield and the executive producer Karen Thrussell.
Humanitarian and author Terry Waite has also been confirmed for attendance this year, and he will be joined by historian Dr Ian Mortimer, author Penny Junor and award-winning novelist Linda Grant.
The programme will also feature a full day of du Maurier events, complete with workshops and a panel discussion on du Maurier adaptations, which will be headed by Professor Helen Taylor of the University of Exeter, and publisher "The Daphne du Maurier Companion". This year, the festival is also aiming to get into the Guinness Book of Records by reading from Daphne du Maurier books for 24 hours.
With vast amounts of music on show, from folk singers The Farrell Family to world-renowned jazz singer Tina May, who will be accompanied by the Craig Milverton Trio. A musical evening will also feature local choirs and other musical talent.
