Here in Cornwall we are lucky to live everyday as if we are on holiday! With white, sandy beaches and crystal blue waters, Cornwall can top any exotic location as the perfect getaway.

Cornwall is an amazing place to visit every day of the year, and with the summer school holidays starting later this month, there's never been a better time to come down to the Duchy and take advantage of the Cornish sun and all that the county has to offer.

Book up a few nights at our Fowey accommodation and read some of our reasons why you should visit this summer below:

Cornwall is surrounded by idyllic beaches and renowned for its surf culture, with beaches that suit every surf ability. If you've always wanted to surf or body board but not sure how to, make your way to St Ives Surf School, where you'll soon be riding the waves of the stunning Porthmeor Beach.

The school teaches to a variety of surfing abilities, ages or group sizes, making it the perfect day out for everyone. However, St Ives is just one of many great surfing locations and there are many close to our luxury Fowey accommodation.

Like to keep your feet on dry land? Take a day trip to popular beaches such as Watergate Bay and Polzeath, where you can enjoy a dip in the sea or relax with a book. Many beaches also have great walking around them too, if you fancy stretching your legs.

If you're after something romantic, pack a picnic and enjoy the white sands of hidden coves like Lantic Bay or Porth Joke. Or maybe try stargazing after watching a picturesque sunset.

Days Out

One of Cornwall's most popular attractions is the Eden Project, a perfect day out, where the tropical rainforest is brought to you.

Here you can walk around great tropical biomes and learn all about the tropical rainforest and the creatures that inhabit it - there is nothing else quite like it! There is also Cornwall's Paradise Park, a wildlife sanctuary with tropical birds, otters and red pandas (to name a few!)  - great for any animal lover.

Satisfy the need to escape by getting back to nature; we recommend The Lost Gardens of Heligan. Once lost under a tangle of weeds, the colourful gardens have been beautifully restored to transport you to a world of mystery and romance.

With several gardens around Cornwall hosting great events during the summer months, you really are spoilt for choice.

Nothing beats the delicious local food of Cornwall and the first thing you should try is without a doubt the classic Cornish pasty, straight from a bakery's oven!

Our fantastic restaurant also has delicious food served every day, all seasonal and locally sourced from around our hotel. Spending your summer sampling the great array of food Cornwall has to offer sounds like a great idea to us! With something for everyone, you'll be left wanting even more.

For a break this summer there's no better place than our luxury Fowey accommodation in Cornwall, with plenty to see and do for people of all ages.
