There are loads of great places to explore on the Polperro Heritage Coast, take a look below at why you should make the south of Cornwall your next holiday destination.

Coastal walks

Take an afternoon strolling along the coastal paths, giving you access to beautiful views and scenery out to sea. There are lots of great walks near our hotel, following circular routes that take you back to your original destination. Some parts of the coastal footpath take you through Areas of Outstanding Beauty so be sure to take your camera along.

Seaside villages

All throughout Cornwall you will find lovely picturesque towns and villages and the south coast has lots of fishing villages with a lot to offer. Great places for wandering about, you are sure to find little galleries hosting local talent and cute cafes offering delicious treats. In places like Fowey, you can also hire boats out to go into the harbour or up along the river too.

Stunning beaches

When on your walks along the Polperro Heritage Coast, you are sure to come across some stunning beaches and hidden coves. Small sandy beaches at this time of year are great for visiting, as they are quiet and unoccupied, so a short trek to find a hidden cove or smugglers cave is worth it for a relaxing picnic on a sandy beach.

Nearby attractions

In addition to the villages and beaches to explore, the area near the Polperro Heritage Coast also has lots of fantastic attractions to visit, from Restormel Castle, Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. In the autumn months, when the crowds have gone, make the most of the attractions which are not as busy than in their peak seasons.
