Enjoy a weekend of festive cheer at Fowey Christmas Market
Written by The Cormorant Hotel
From 5pm on Friday 9th December and all day on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th, you can grab some fantastic stocking fillers from the exciting selection from local traders and those who will be making their way from across Cornwall to sell their products.
As in previous years there will be exceptional food to try, seasonal music from local choirs and musicians to liven up the shopping day, craft stalls selling amazing handmade bits and bobs and you can also peruse the unique independent shops that will make the weekend the best chance to grab all your Christmas presents - if you haven't started yet!
On Friday 9th, marquees on the town quay will be open, and Santa will arrive by tug to Berril's Yard. A lantern parade will follow accompanied by a Samba band to the church gates. The Christmas lights are then switched on at the gates, lighting up the town with festive merriment. Warm yourself up with mulled wine served at one of the local bars or food stalls.
Saturday 10th looks to be a busy one, with the marquees at the town quay, Webb Street market and the Town Hall all full of stalls selling their best Christmas treats. There will be a hog roast, perfect for your midday refuelling, and local choirs will provide a festive soundtrack to your shopping day.
On Sunday 11th the same markets and entertainment will be found in the town, along with a Victorian Funfair to mix up the shopping fun.
