If you are visiting boutique hotels in Cornwall and you fancy doing something educational, particularly if you're of the green-fingered persuasion then having the chance to grow your own skills with a fabulous new range of courses at the Eden Project will be right up your garden path.

From foraging in summer to gardening in small places, a whole host of activities are on offer, all led by members of Eden's expert horticulture team.

The courses give people the opportunity to experience a great way for new and improving gardeners to hone their skills. Anyone taking part will have the chance to enjoy courses led by knowledgeable and friendly horticulturists, and not just in any setting, but the remarkable, and unmistakable setting of Eden.

Take your pick from the following courses to fit around your stay in Fowey:

  • Plants for free- May 9 and October 23.


This is a two-part session schooling guests on how to collect, store and stow seeds. Furthermore, you'll learn how to produce free replicas of plants in the garden.

  • Successful vegetable growing and successful fruit growing- May 16 and May 23.


Explore how to grow ready-to-eat vegetables and fruits throughout the year.

  • Scything for beginners- June 5.


Combine healthy outdoor exercise with a sustainable method of vegetation control with Eden's scything expert, Kevin Austin.

  • What to do in the garden- July 4, October 3 and January 9.


Taking place in summer, autumn and winter, this course will take you through all the necessary information, packed with handy tips you need to know on looking after your garden in various seasons.

  • Gardening in small spaces- August 1.


This will include learning a variety of simple and inventive tips.
