Cornwall is continuing to cement itself as one of the leading suppliers of fresh and quality seafood, thanks to a new delivery service. The Cornwall Project ensures that fresh fish will get from the fishing boat to the top restaurants in London, in just six hours.New Cornwall project helps deliver seafood to London quickly hotels near Fowey the Cormorant Hotel & Restaurant

After talking with London based chefs and Cornish fishermen, it was established that there was a growing demand for seafood in the capital, and Cornwall could provide it.

Matt Chatfield therefore set up the Cornwall Project, in association with Logisthicks, in order to fulfil the demands of the chefs.

Due to the high levels of competition between restaurants in London, Matt realised it was important for fast delivery of produce to ensure that those provided with Cornish produce would stand out. This now means that diners will be able to tuck into seafood that was caught less than 24 hours before being cooked.

The Cornwall Project supplies produce, consisting mainly of meat and fish, to 25 of the most exclusive restaurants in London. These include The Clove Club, run by Michelin-starred chef Isaac McHale and Chez Bruce, which itself has been awarded a Michelin Star.

With 326 miles of coastline, it is no wonder that Cornwall's fresh fish is so in demand! If you are looking for hotels near Fowey that make use of local Cornish produce, here at the Cormorant, our restaurant prides itself on using the finest ingredients available on our doorstep, so why not book yourself in today?
