Cornish beer will be sold nationally

The St Austell Brewery, not far from our hotel in Golant, Cornwall, has its Proper Black beer to go on sale in Tesco's across the country in June, after beer-buying manager Chiara Nesbitt and the brewery signed an exclusive deal.
Nesbitt said: "I discovered St Austell Proper Black on a recent visit to Cornwall. It's an absolutely gem of a beer that instantly caught my attention - as soon as I tried it I just knew we had to add it to the Tesco range.
"This is one of the best aspects of my job, being able to discover these little nuggets that are so different and exciting for our customers."
The 6.0% black India Pale Ale looks like a stout but tastes like a classic IPA. First brewed three years ago as a limited edition cask ale, it was brewed again in the new Small Batch Brewery for the Celtic Beer Festival last year, which is when Tesco snatched it up.
St Austell Brewery is not far from our hotel in Golant and there are places around Cornwall where you can sample the Cornish beer they make, as well as tonnes of other delicious Cornish food and drink, including the delicious meals served at our own restaurant.
