Bodmin Moor horse whisperer featured in short film

A short documentary based on a Bodmin Moor horse whisperer and trainer has been given a general release online.
'Cornish Cowboy' was made two years ago, and also featured at the Cannes Film Festival last year. The 10-minute film features Dan Wilson who was trained in horse whispering techniques by Monty Roberts, the author of bestseller 'The Man Who Listens To Horses.'
Director of the film Gareth Molan was introduced to Wilson's work by the film producer Helen Nash, who is local to Cornwall and aware of Wilson's work. Molan is delighted the film can now be seen by a wider audience due to the general release.
The film is set against the stunning scenery of Cornwall and highlights the talented work Wilson does in horse training. Working at his farm, he takes in horses of all ages and various behaviour problems to train. Wilson's parents were also horse trainers and has been around the animals from a young age.
About the film, Dan said: "For me personally, the film was the perfect platform for me to get across to the general public the reality of what goes on in a yard like mine, for instance, seeing the world through the eyes of a horse, and to give them an insight into the world of horse whispering. It was a great experience and we're excited to have it released.''
