George Ezra films music video at the Eden Project

George Ezra is set to release his latest single "Barcelona", which serves as the sixth single from his debut album "Wanted On Voyage" on the 28th August, but it is the music video that is arguably the most interesting, as it was shot at the nearby Eden Project. Filmed in the Rainforest Biome earlier this year, George is seen hiding amongst the trees in the video, playing his guitar and singing his latest hit.

Cornwall expects 3.8 million visitors this summer

After the first weekend of the Great British summer passes, it has been announced that Cornwall can expect 3.8 million visitors to the region this summer. The figures, as estimated by the South West Research Company, predicts that 1.2 million UK visitors will make the trip to the South West, and more than 79,000 will visit from overseas. On top of this, an additional 2.5 million people are expected to visit on day trips.

A brief history of Fowey

Fowey is a beautiful part of Cornwall, full of winding streets lined with many wonderful shops and cafes, and is always full of life. But how much do you know about the history of the town? We have decided to take a leap back in time and give a brief history of the town. Origins Circa 1300, people living in what is now known as Fowey were granted a charter, thus creating Fowey as a town. Having been established next to a natural harbour, it quickly allowed trade to develop between the town and other places in Europe.

Ultimate Sea View competition calls for your best nautical photograph

The Shipwrecked Mariners' Society have launched a national photography competition, in which they are seeking the photo which best captures Britain's relationship with the sea. The Ultimate Sea View photography competition coincides with Seafarers Awareness Week, which runs from the 20th - 28th June, and aims to help to raise awareness of Britain's dependence on seafarers.

Home featured in Daphne du Maurier novel for sale in Cornwall

A Grade II listed property which is thought to have been the inspiration for a Daphne du Maurier novel has gone up for sale in Cornwall, and comes complete with its own beach. Chapel Point House was designed by Scottish architect John Campbell in 1936, and is set in 12 acres of land, which is also home to two further houses.

Agatha Christie best seller gets Cornwall treatment

It certainly has been a busy week in Cornwall for filming, as yet another BBC drama gets the Cornwall treatment, with an adaptation of Agatha Christie's crime novel "And Then There Were None" taking advantage of the Cornish coast. Poldark star Aidan Turner certainly seems to enjoy visiting the region, as he is set to star in the series alongside Hollywood legends Sam Neill and Charles Dance.

Television crews head to South East Cornwall to film new BBC series

Television crews have travelled to Cornwall yet again, in order to take advantage of the beautiful scenery for a new BBC daytime drama. The ten episode series is titled "The Coroner", and will appear on our television screens earlier next year. The series will follow a solicitor who returns to a seaside town she used as an escape in her teenage years, known as Lighthaven.

It's official! Cornwall has the best beaches in Britain

In a recent survey, Cornwall has been voted as having the best beaches in the whole of Britain, beating neighbours Devon to the top spot. Members of the public were polled in an attempt to discover the most beautiful beaches in Wales, Scotland and England, with the results of these three separate polls being combined to create an overall winner.
