The small seaside and harbour town of Fowey on the south coast of Cornwall is a great tourist destination for people who want to see a part of the county that is relatively unspoiled. The deep water harbour is excellent for sailing fans, the medieval, Georgian, Edwardian and Victorian buildings around the town bring to life a long and interesting history. The town is also in part of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so the surrounding coast and river are perfect for exploring.

An AONB is given to areas of countryside that have been designated for conservation due to its significant landscape value.
