Reservations With confirmation of booking, we require details of a valid credit/debit card. A Reservation Fee of £50, or 10% of reservation value, whichever is the greater, will be taken at the time of booking. The reservation fee is non refundable. All offers are subject to availability and may be altered or withdrawn at any time. Cancellations or curtailments of bookings The booking fee is non-refundable. For Cancellations made within 2 weeks of the reservation date, we require either the reservation fee or 20% of the total cost of the booking, whichever is the greater. For Cancellations of less than 2 days notice : we require 80% of the total cost of the booking, unless we are able to re-sell the accommodation at full value. No allowance can be made for curtailments or early departures, or for meals booked but not taken.
Single Occupancy We regret that no reductions can be made, in high season, for rooms occupied by a single person
Smoking All of the hotel buildings, including the bedroom balconies, plus the outdoor dining terrace, are non smoking areas, and guests are requested to respect the comfort of others - There are still delightful areas of the garden where a cigar or cigarette can be enjoyed. Cleaning charges will be applied to any guest who smokes anywhere within the hotel structure.
Pets In order to maintain the level of cleanliness and hygiene expected by our guests, we regret we are unable to permit any pets whatsoever.
Children The topography of our site makes it necessary for us to decline guests under the age of 12 years.
Access Statement Please note that guests of any age, with mobility problems, may find the site challenging, and should consult with us for further information before making a firm booking. Guests who do not do so, and subsequently decide upon arrival that the site does not meet their needs, will be liable for the Cancellation Fee of 80% of the total cost of their booking, as well as for any associated room bookings which would also need to be relinquished. Please note that as part of our Health & Safety Policy, The Cormorant Hotel reserves the right, in extreme situations, to decline to accept a guest, whose apparent level of mobility could place them in additional danger in the event of an emergency evacuation over our steep site. Our Cancellation Policy would also apply in this circumstance, if you had failed to discuss mobility & access with us beforehand, and/or to take our advice in the matter.
Check-in is from 4pm. If it would be important to you to check-in earlier, please let us know, and we will advise you if it will be possible for your room to be available earlier on that particular day. If a check-in time of before 14.00hrs is required, an minimum of an additional quarter daily rate will apply.
Departures Please vacate your room by 11 am on day of departure. Should guests prefer to vacate a room later, this may be possible, (please enquire ) and if so, would be charged at half daily rate, for the period up to 5pm. Thereafter an additional full daily rate would apply.
Use of the Pool House Facility is free to guests who book accommodation with Dinner, or those who pay normal tariff. A charge is levied, for guests on a heavily discounted 'Room & Breakfast' tariff. Please ask at the time of booking.
Payment of account In full on departure, by debit card, major credit cards, cash, -personal cheques accepted if fully guaranteed by cheque card.
